Ouija Board

A quick preview of an Ouija Board; (AKA Spirit Board, Witch Board or talking board) there has been a lot of dialogue about the Ouija board and its use in general. The characteristics of the talking board are fairly controversial, so too are its true origins. Well its story dates back in history.

Beginning with the Spiritualist movement of the 1800s, individuals began to look for ways to communicate with the spirit world. In 1853 the talking board was invented by a French spiritualist named M. Planchette as a tool that people could use while communicating with individuals who had already crossed to the other side.

The tool was heart shaped with little legs fixed to the bottom and the first people to use it were the spiritualists since they claimed that spirits/ghosts would force the tool to move through the medium’s hands while in use. Shortly, the tool came to America where a coffin and cabinet maker had to create some medium for communicating with dead souls.

On that note, the maker devised a wooden lap tray with the alphabet letters arranged in tow lines across the center of the board. Below the alphabet were numbers one to ten with the words yes and no in every lower corner of the board. It is believed the tool was named Ouija since it was Egyptian for luck.

The use of Ouija board as we know it today:

In the general public, the use of this tool brings some worries in most people and there is no special medium ship skills required to use the tool. All one has to do is to gather some people, sit them in a circle around the board, place their hands on the board and you are ready to play. You must ask some questions to the spirit world and before long the board will begin to move. This is what is used to denote communication with dead souls.

Some people have tales of dreadful results that they claim to have occurred after using this board. Others tell of items being thrown across the room, ghostly noises and evil possessions in people. Well, these claims could be true or false depending on what one believes in.

When using this tool what matters most is the intention of the user. The intention is to communicate with the spirit world but most people never specify what kind of spirit they want to be in communion with. However, this can be a bit confusing although like said before the intent is what matters most in this game.

Regardless of what tool one is using to communicate with the dead, it is important to make your intentions clear. If you sit around this board but has no belief if it then it will not work and certainly, there will be no communication. Those on the other hand who have belief in the works of this tool will see something happen.

For the spirits to produce results, they have to manipulate ones energy with your hand just like it is with automatic writing. The spirit will take over the mediums voice and body and manipulate it to its liking. However, no matter what individuals are trying to do with the Ouija board, they must ensure that you state the intention and make it clear. It is how you use the tool that will make the difference in expected results.
